Let me start with telling you where our puppy Bo sleeps while we are at work... He is in a Pen similar to THIS in the laundry room. The pen is equipped with a puppy pee pad, small water dish, a toy or two, and a kennel with a comfy blanket to sleep on. When we are sleeping he is in a regular kennel because we will wake up and let him out a few times during our sleep. Since we are at work longer we like this pen enclosure because he has somewhere to potty/play. So far he has been doing very well in this enclosure until today.

My wife and I arrive home this morning after work and as we are unlocking the door we hear, "Bark, Bark" which we are normally use to hearing, but we realized it was Bo and he was on the other side of the front door. After coming in and being greeted by the puppy we inspected the house for damage, pee, poo, etc but we didn't find anything wrong. After making sure the house and the baby were safe we went to inspect the enclosure in the laundry room.

We get to the laundry room in the basement and find that the baby gate (with bars I dind't think he could get through) in the door is still intact. Inspecting the pen I see the built in door is latched and the pen is still standing, but isn't standing in the configuration it was.

I have no idea how he got out of the pen, through the baby gate, AND he didn't do anything super bad in the house. What a good little dog!

I guess next time he will have to stay in his normal kennel.
