PhotoHunt - Undesirable

This weeks PhotoHunt theme is Undesirable. When a Sweet Potato has been in the pantry this long you don't want to eat it, but you have a strange fascination with how long will the little roots get.

Mmmm, I have seen a few of these! Don't tell anyone, but a few has been in my vegatable basket!

It does rather look like a large dead bug, doesn't it?

Mine is up but the photos may be rather disturbing. The first I used in an earlier PhotoHunter but the second is one I haven’t dared put up publicly before. Just warning you…

I never get to this part when the roots grow this big.

Great take.

I would put it in soil and wait for the wonderful flowers!

That has happened to my poatoes many times! [Hate to admit it.] But I never had the presence of mind to document it! Good for you. You had your "thinking cap" on!
Happy Weekend!

You are quite the adventurer! Sweet potatoes are undesirable to me, anyway... overgrown ones only more so. ;)

My Photo Hunt: Undesirable is up. I hope you have time to visit. Have a good weekend.

Yes that would qualify. I hate it when they start to get soft spots and smell. Of course that never happens in my storage room ;}.

Whoa Nelly! It looks like something you'd put in a fish tank to simulate plant life. I guess you'd have to bury the potato part under the rocks though. :)

I can remember when we had these in water and grew a pretty nice green plant..for a while :)

Nice photo for PH this week!
